David, Joseph, and Keith are long-standing OVERPOWER enthusiasts who were integral to growing the game’s enduring community and carrying the torch passed down from the amazing people who restarted the OVERPOWER tournament circuit in Canada over a decade ago. Realizing that acquiring the trademark was essential for the game’s revival, they hired a lawyer to investigate the legal status of the game. Fully expecting an answer that there was no path forward, they were shocked to discover that, on the contrary, there was a way to bring back the game legally and officially.

It took years, a sizable financial investment, and countless other risks and struggles to gain the legal rights. However, once secured, they channeled that same commitment into the restoration, enhancement, and re-imagination of OVERPOWER. As always, this effort was guided by the invaluable feedback and insights of the passionate community. Today, thanks to their dedication and collaborative spirit, OVERPOWER stands poised for an exciting new era, introducing the game to a new generation of players while giving Golden Age fans a set that remains true to the core elements that made us all fall in love with OVERPOWER in the first place.

As we step into the next phase of OVERPOWER, we are thrilled to announce that a brand-new core is being developed that will be attached to a major intellectual property. This set will be a minimum 36-character core set, fully compatible with Golden Age OVERPOWER, but functional as a stand-alone set which marks the first set in what we are calling Modern Age OVERPOWER. Again, this set is fully compatible and will be a necessary addition to any OVERPOWER collection, or to boost the power and strategy of any deck you want to play in any of our constructed play formats.
