THE WAIT IS ALMOST OVER

It’s been a four-year journey, which has taken passion, dedication, and community support; and stands as a testament to our commitment to delivering an experience that lives up to the legacy of OVERPOWER. The dawn of a new era for OVERPOWER is just over the horizon. Together, we are about to embark on an incredible new chapter in the world of OVERPOWER, with an official in-store release for the first time in over 23 years.

Thank you for being part of our community. Your support and our shared love for the game drive a commitment in us to bring you a new core set of OVERPOWER with the most innovative game mechanics, the most play-tested and play-balanced cards, and the best art of any OVERPOWER set to date.

As we step into the next phase of OVERPOWER, we are thrilled to announce that a brand-new core is being developed that will be attached to a major intellectual property. This set will be a minimum 36-character core set, fully compatible with Golden Age OVERPOWER, but functional as a stand-alone set which marks the first set in what we are calling Modern Age OVERPOWER. Again, this set is fully compatible and will be a necessary addition to any OVERPOWER collection, or to boost the power and strategy of any deck you want to play in any of our constructed play formats.

OUR STORY

David, Joseph, and Keith are long-standing OVERPOWER enthusiasts who were integral to growing the game’s enduring community and carrying the torch passed down from the amazing people who restarted the OVERPOWER tournament circuit in Canada over a decade ago. Realizing that acquiring the trademark was essential for the game’s revival, they hired a lawyer to investigate the legal status of the game. Fully expecting an answer that there was no path forward, they were shocked to discover that, on the contrary, there was a way to bring back the game legally and officially.

It took years, a sizable financial investment, and countless other risks and struggles to gain the legal rights. However, once secured, they channeled that same commitment into the restoration, enhancement, and re-imagination of OVERPOWER. As always, this effort was guided by the invaluable feedback and insights of the passionate community. Today, thanks to their dedication and collaborative spirit, OVERPOWER stands poised for an exciting new era, introducing the game to a new generation of players while giving Golden Age fans a set that remains true to the core elements that made us all fall in love with OVERPOWER in the first place.

NEW DESIGN ELEMENTS

New Symbols

We’ve given the game a fresh, modern look, while updating the icons and creating new timing icons; so there are no longer questions on what is offensive or defensive and what last for a battle or for game. The new core set of OVERPOWER will incorporate the last 20 years of game design theory and CCG innovations that have become standard and are used as standards in all game design. The result? A more polished and user-friendly gaming experience that retains the essence of the classic while adding a touch of contemporary sophistication.

We’re thrilled to introduce a fresh take on home base cards in OVERPOWER. These new home bases are designed to work seamlessly with Golden Age cards and open a world of possibilities for diverse strategies and approaches. With these innovative cards, you will be able to play a large pool of Golden Age cards and characters that were unplayable in a competitive environment previously. Our goal is to not just provide you with new OVERPOWER cards, but to create strategies that allow fun mechanics to also be competitive.

Celebrate new life for a beloved game with this limited edition OverPower – World Legends power card set.  This set includes three Level 8 Power Cards for All 4 Skill Types – Energy, Combat, Brute Force, and Intelligence – as well as the all important Level 5 Multi-Power power card.  Freshly commissioned art for each power card (Zeus, Zoro, Beowulf, Dracula, and Cthulhu, respectively) plus fresh iconography and a new logo printed in a beautiful foil finish gives players a taste of the new feel for a beloved game.

Only a LIMITED amount of sets were printed, as it is a collector’s edition.  So whether you are a player or a collector (or both!) we’re sure you’ll be satisfied with the final product.

Celebrate new life for a beloved game with this limited edition OverPower – World Legends Any Hero Essential Pack. This set includes all new Anypower Power cards, Any Character Ambush, Assist and Cataclysm Special cards, and four new Aspect cards called Fortifications.

Featuring high quality art from the same artist used for the World Legends Foil power card set; our fresh iconography and logo, and a fresh new layout for special cards, this Any-hero essentials pack will be collectible and an essential for our avid playing community.

Printed in the ever-popular Linen card stock (beautiful slick, but “waffle” texture akin to Power Surge cardstock), this set will include over 28 cards shrink-wrapped as a double-pack (with a surprise or two included)!

Only 2500 of these were printed.
