During a visit to Cartamundi’s global headquarters in Antwerp, founders Joe Gagnepain and President Ronald Pozzi, alongside Peter De Weerdt, VP of Global Business Development TCG at Cartamundi, explored the state-of-the-art production facilities. This visit solidified our choice; Cartamundi’s advanced machinery and logistical prowess perfectly align with our vision for OverPower, especially in supporting limited play formats like sealed and draft that are vital for community-focused brick and mortar stores.
Cartamundi’s commitment to quality control and their ability to deliver precise materials and details enable us to bring an innovative collation model to OverPower. This model enhances the game’s accessibility and enjoyment, ensuring a seamless integration of new cards and mechanics.
Originally eyeing production in Belgium, a strategic shift led us to establish our manufacturing base in the USA. Following a productive meeting in Dallas with Cartamundi North America, we decided to set up our production in close proximity to our fulfillment center in Austin. This proximity allows for efficient distribution, particularly for fulfilling Kickstarter pledges swiftly and effectively.
Moreover, Cartamundi’s global footprint—with facilities in Japan, Brazil, Belgium, and the USA—positions OverPower for international success. Our global trademark registration complements this expansive network, facilitating worldwide distribution and localization.
