This past May, OverPower made its triumphant start to the 2025 convention scene, and what better place to do it than the legendary halls of PAX East in Boston! The Lazarus Rising Games crew is based mostly in Beantown so they came with boxes in tow, cards sleeved, and starter decks ready—and the response? Nothing short of phenomenal.
We’re proud to report that we sold over 300 Starter Decks to new players right on the show floor, and the energy was electric. Folks who sat down for a demo on Friday were coming back Saturday morning to grab full booster boxes, eager to build decks, crack packs, and join the growing ranks of OverPower Fanatics.
We had people who stopped by the booth half a dozen times and bought packs 5 at a time – because they wanted to chase one of the much sought after Ultra Rare and ultra rare foil cards drawn by names like Philip Tan, Jae Lee, Jim Cheung and many more!
